Kigali Memorials, Museums, and Local Markets
Start the tour by visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial, the final resting place for more than 250,000 victims of the genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.
Head to the Presidential Palace Museum. This is one of the newer museums in Kigali, giving visitors a chance to visit the former statehouse as well as gain an overview of Rwanda's history.
Visit Richard Kandt House, which houses interesting information on Rwanda's flora, fauna, geology, and biological history.
