2-Day Kigali City Tour with Mount Kigali Hike and Local Markets

Start the tour by visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial, the final resting place for more than 250,000 victims of the genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.

Head to the Presidential Palace Museum. This is one of the newer museums in Kigali, giving visitors a chance to visit the former statehouse as well as gain an overview of Rwanda's history.

Visit Richard Kandt House, which houses interesting information on Rwanda's flora, fauna, geology, and biological history.

See the Camp Kigali Memorial.

Have lunch at your hotel or at a recommended restaurant.

See other important places in the city and visit local markets, either Kimironko or Nyamirambo, with your Rwandan tour guide.

Return to your hotel.

Go to the top of Mount Kigali for views of the city and the countryside. Indulge in different activities, including horse riding, trail rides, and zip lining.

Visit the Nyamirambo Women Centre and do some shopping. You may alternatively choose another store of your preference.
