At a glance
Day by day
Depart from Kigali and visit historical sites along the main road, including Kamegeri's Rock and Nyanza King's Palace.
Check in to the hotel and refresh yourself before continuing with the drive to Nyungwe.
Stay overnight at Gisakura Hotel/Lodge/Guest House.
Have an early breakfast at 4:45 am.
Drive to the chimp trekking point with the Rwandan tour guide.
After trekking, continue to the Canopy Walkway. This walkway is 50 metres above ground level and about 200 metres long. The dizzying platform stretches above a steep and deep valley across a massive forest. This hanging platform allows visitors to view different animal species in Nyungwe Forest, and you can capture some amazing shots here.
In the afternoon, meet farmers at nearby tea plantations and indulge in other community tourism activities.
Stay overnight at a recommended hotel.
Take a 2-hour tour of the tea factory and then depart for Kigali.
Make a stop at the Huye Ethnographic Museum with the Rwandan tour guide.
After reaching Kigali, depart for the airport.
