Eco-Villages, Baobab Island, and Farasurtu Forest
Drive from the hotel to the grass-root projects eco-friendly villages of Galloya, Kubuneh, and Tungina, which have only 70 residents.
Make a stop at the Galloya Wide Open Walls and the Ballabu Conservation Project, which was led by James and Lawrence.
Stop by the local Palm Wine Tapper, where you will learn how juice is extracted from the palm trees and how it is supplied to local consumers.
Transfer to Kubuneh Village and take a break.
Take a boat trip towards Baobab Island to the eco-village of Tungina, a small ecological farm with 30 hectares of green vegetable gardens.
Enjoy an hour-long boat ride to the Tungina Bolong (creek) and Wonderland Eco Lodge for a coffee break.
Have lunch with the locals, and you can also cook together with them.
Walk through the Green Gallery Forest of Farasurtu in the afternoon and get a chance to spot owls, rollers, plovers, reptiles, and even crocodiles.
Drive back towards Brikama town and stop for shopping at the fantastic wood factory.
