Day by day

The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Yangon and Sunset at Shwedagon

Arrive at Yangon International Airport and meet your local tour guide for pick-up and transfer.
Drive to the hotel.
Visit Yangon city centre, where Sule Pagoda is located.
Wander through Bogyoke Aung San Market, built during the British colonial period and notable for its colonial architecture.
Continue to Chaukhtathgyi Pagoda, home to the fourth-largest colossal reclining Buddha image in Myanmar, measuring 67 m long.
See the magnificent and spectacular Shwedagon Pagoda before sunset, and enjoy the beauty of the stupa as it shines in the radiant rays of the sun.
Stay overnight in Yangon.

Day 02

Bagan Temples and Ayeyarwaddy Sunset

Transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Bagan.
Visit Shwezigon Pagoda, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century.
See Kubyanuk Gyi, a temple with exquisite murals depicting Jataka scenes.
Go to Ananda Temple, with four huge standing Buddha images and numerous seated figures in niches around the galleried interior.
Continue sightseeing at Manuha Temple, built in Mon style in 1095.
Journey to Nanbaya Temple, a unique sandstone monument said to have been the palace of King Manuha.
See Myingaba Gu Byaukgyi Temple, noted for its ancient mural paintings under the protection of UNESCO.
Proceed to Bupaya Pagoda to watch the sunset over the Ayeyarwaddy River.
Stay overnight in Bagan.

Day 03

Mandalay and Amarapura Heritage

Take a domestic flight to Mandalay.
Arrive and drive to Amarapura.
Visit U Bein Bridge on the way.
Proceed to Mahagandayone, a highly reputed monastery with more than a thousand monks, many of whom can be seen at the same time.
Visit the silk workshop and tapestry workshop.
Go to Mahamuni Pagoda with its spectacular Buddha image.
See Shwe Nan Daw Kyaung, a wooden monastery built of teak in traditional Myanmar style.
Visit Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the world's biggest book, consisting of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures. Enjoy the sunset at Mandalay Hill.
Stay overnight in Mandalay.
