The itinerary

1
Day 01

Islamabad to Chilas via Abbottabad and Naran

  • Early in the morning, meet your tour guide and depart from Islamabad.

  • Drive to Chilas via Haripur, Abbottabad, Mansehra, and Naran.

  • Later, continue past Babusar Pass and reach Chilas.

Have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 02

Chilas to Karimabad via Raikot Bridge and Gilgit

  • After breakfast, begin the drive towards Babusar Pass via Raikot Bridge.

  • Stop at Thalechi for breathtaking snow-covered views of Nanga Parbat. Your private tour guide will assist you in taking pictures.

  • Later, visit the confluence of the Gilgit and Indus rivers. This spot also offers views of three mighty mountain ranges: the Karakoram, the Himalayas, and the Hindu Kush.

  • Continue the drive to Gilgit and then onward to Kargah, known for its Buddha carved into a high cliff.

  • Return to Gilgit town and stop for lunch at a local restaurant.

  • From Gilgit, transfer to Karimabad, the capital town of Hunza Valley, crossing several villages in the Nagar and Hunza valleys.

  • Make a photo stop at the Rakaposhi viewpoint.

Overnight stay at Karimabad.

Day 03

Khunjerab Pass Excursion via Attabad Lake

  • Wake up early in the morning to witness the picturesque sunrise over Rakaposhi and other peaks (optional).

  • After an early breakfast, set out on an excursion to Khunjerab Pass via Attabad Lake, Gulmit, and Passu.

  • In the evening, return to the hotel and enjoy a free evening.

Day 04

Karimabad Forts and Village Exploration

  • After breakfast, visit the Baltit Fort Museum and Altit Fort.

  • The evening is free for you to explore the village and bazaar.

Dinner and overnight stay at Karimabad.

Day 05

Karimabad to Besham via Gilgit

  • After breakfast, head towards Naran via Babusar Pass. If the route is closed, follow the Karakoram Highway route and stay in Besham for the night.

Day 06

Return to Islamabad via Balakot

  • Have breakfast and drive to Islamabad, making a lunch stop on the way.

  • On arrival, you will be dropped at a designated place in Islamabad.
