Continue your wonderful tour to 1st-century A.D. Garni, the only standing heathen temple in Armenia.

Walk around the medieval Armenian monastic complex of Kecharis Monastery, dating from the 11th to 13th centuries, located 60 km from Yerevan in the ski resort town of Tsaghkadzor.
Drive through the pretty Ararat Valley to the 4th-century monastery of Khor Virap, where you will enjoy the view of Mt. Ararat. Khor Virap means the "deep dungeon," where the first Armenian Catholicos, Gregory the Illuminator, was detained for 13 years in the 4th century for spreading Christianity in Armenia.
