Full-Day Deelen Airfield and Air War Tour

• Meet your Arnhem tour guide and begin with an introductory talk over a cup of coffee. Learn about the history of Deelen Airfield and the Luftwaffe 3rd Fighter Division command bunker through a PowerPoint presentation.
• Walk to the area of the former German staff around command bunker Diogenes, the largest command bunker built by the Luftwaffe (German air force).
• Visit Deelen Air Base, which was home to Luftwaffe night fighters and day fighters for almost five years.
• Enjoy a scrumptious lunch and tour the airfield area.
• Visit the German hangars, fire station, and engine shed of the air base, and learn about the merciless air war that took away 75,000 Allied airmen and thousands of civilian lives, causing immense damage.
• Discover the remains of the rocket fuel depot of the Messerschmitt 163 rocket fighter.
