Are you craving some adventure this summer? Try trekking along the Sirimon route up to Point Lenana, the highest trekking peak of Mount Kenya. Enjoy a pleasant and easy uphill trek through the old-growth forest on the lower slopes, then marvel at the beauty of nature around you, with splendid giant heathers, alpine flowers, and lobelias at higher elevations.

Day by day
Arrive in Nairobi.
Start your trip with a drive to Nanyuki, the base camp of Mount Kenya.
Stay overnight in Nanyuki.
Drive to the Sirimon Park Gate after an early breakfast.
Have lunch there and then begin trekking.
Follow the uphill track for 10 km to Old Moses Camp, which is situated at 3,300 m.
Have dinner and stay overnight at Old Moses Camp.
Leave Old Moses Camp at 8:00 AM after breakfast.
Cross several small streams on the way as you reach the crest of the ridge between the Ontulili and Liki North Valleys.
Continue trekking through Mackinders Valley to Shipton's Camp at 4,250 m.
Have dinner and stay overnight at Shipton's Camp.
Wake up at 2:00 AM, have tea and biscuits, and leave for the Lenana summit at 3:00 AM. This section of the journey can be a little hard and long, as the path can be difficult to trek.
Reach Point Lenana at around 6:30 AM to catch the sunrise.
Descend to Shipton's Camp after enjoying the view and taking pictures.
Trek further downhill to reach Old Moses for dinner.
Stay overnight at Old Moses.
Depart for Sirimon Gate after breakfast.
Drive to Nanyuki for lunch.
After lunch, proceed to Nairobi by road.
Expect to reach Nairobi by 6:30 PM.
The car will drop you off in Nairobi.
