Cycling Through Huế and Village Life with a Dragon Boat Ride
8:00 am: Meet your tourist guide at your hotel, then start biking to Tòa Khâm boat landing.
Take a pleasant Dragon boat trip along the Perfume River.
Visit Thiên Mụ Pagoda, built in 1601 on a pine hill by the Perfume River. It is one of the oldest and prettiest pagodas in Vietnam.
Continue by bike to the Citadel Complex of Huế, built and operated by the Nguyễn Dynasty from 1805 to 1945. It is now among the most significant relics of the ancient capital of Huế and a World Cultural Heritage site.
Ride on to the village along green, shaded roads, passing communal houses by the rivers and canals and cycling through the rice fields toward Thanh Toan Bridge and the agricultural museum.
Take a walk around the village to observe local life, especially the local market. On the way back to the city, stop for lunch at Thanh Toan Eco Restaurant, where you will also have the chance to explore the garden with many kinds of local fruits and vegetables or chat with local people to learn more about their lives.
Ride back to the city; the tour ends at around 3:00 pm.
