Continue to the South Gate of Angkor Thom, the best-preserved gate of the quadrangle defensive walls that once protected the Khmer capital.
Climb up to the protective wall and continue toward Prasat Chrung for views of local villages.
Continue to the West Gate of Angkor Thom, the unrestored gate, where visitors can compare it with the best-preserved gate and observe the difference between pre- and post-restoration conditions. Also see the Bayon Buddhist temple, known for its gigantic face sculptures.

Pass by the North Gate of Angkor Thom and explore the remarkable rainforest, with its butterflies and flowers. Listen to the sounds of nature along the way as you proceed toward Preah Khan temple, which is completely covered in jungle. Also see Ta Nei, an ancient hospital in the middle of the forest.
