Braga's Sanctuaries and Historic Guimarães

Meet your Braga tour guide at your hotel, cruise terminal, or any other convenient location.
Leave the city of Porto after breakfast and head towards Braga, once known as the city of Romans and later as the "city of archbishops". Braga is one of the main religious centres of Portugal, where you can see Baroque art almost everywhere.
Explore the main places of worship, particularly the famous Sanctuary of Bom Jesus and Sameiro. This area comprises seven chapels depicting the seven stations of the cross.
Visit Guimarães, the birthplace of Portugal. The city has a magnificent historic centre and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will visit the ancient castles and also walk through the Guimarães historical heritage area.
