Historic Istanbul and Taksim Square
Start your trip with a visit to the Grand Bazaar, one of the world's largest and oldest markets.
Make your way to Cemberlitas (Burnt Column), a Roman monumental column commemorating the declaration of Byzantium as the new Roman capital. Visit the majestic Blue Mosque, also referred to as the Sultan Ahmad Mosque.
Continue to Hagia Sophia, a former church and mosque that is now a museum. Do not miss the famous Topkapı Palace, a large museum that served as the residence of the Ottoman sultans in the 15th century. Then visit Gülhane Park, which lies adjacent to it.
Return to the meeting point and enjoy coffee and snacks.
Transfer by car to Ortaköy, a fine suburb located below the suspension bridge on the European side of the city.
Visit Taksim Square, home to international shopping chains, movie theatres, and cafes.
