3-Day Masai Mara Budget Safari from Nairobi with Great Rift Valley

• Pick up by your guide and receive a briefing on the safari tour.

• Depart from Nairobi for Masai Mara, which is approximately a 5-hour drive. You will have a brief stop at a viewpoint, where you can enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift Valley.

• Arrive in Masai Mara in good time for lunch, check in at your lodge, have lunch, freshen up, and enjoy the lodge facilities before your evening game drive.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp in a standard room.

• Enjoy a full-day game drive, leaving your lodge with a packed lunch, or choose a morning and afternoon game drive with lunch served at the lodge. The Mara is the land of African legends: lions are abundant throughout the park, as are elephants, giraffes, various gazelle species, and zebra. Cheetah and leopard are also regularly seen and, less commonly, rhino.

• Witness the annual wildebeest migration, one of nature's few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurring in the Mara from July to October. The big animals and their predators are present in abundance during this time frame. Several species of bee-eater, the flying rainbow that heads the list of Mara's birds, also occur in the reserve. As well as wildlife, the Masai Mara is home to many members of the colourful Masai tribe who live around the borders of the park - Morans (warriors) loping across the plains, young boys herding goats, and elders grouped under a tree discussing matters of the day.

• Have your breakfast and check out. You can opt for a brief stop at Narok town on your way to Nairobi for lunch at an extra cost.
