Day by day

The itinerary

Day 01

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Depart Arusha after breakfast and head straight to Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch.
Drive to the middle of the park to observe herds of elephants, sometimes numbering up to 30.
Keep a lookout for leopards, but you may also see buffalo, impala, zebras, warthogs, giraffes, and many more.

Drive to Tarangire Public Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 02

Tarangire to Serengeti via Manyara

After breakfast, head to Serengeti via Manyara through the Rift Valley escarpments with your Tanzanian tour guide.
You have the option of visiting the Masaai village and Olduvai Gorge, where you will see and touch a huge cast of actual footprints made by our early human ancestors (hominins), known as "Lucy" Australopithecus afarensis.
Reach Serengeti by the evening, followed by an evening game drive.

Head towards Seronera Public Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 03

Sunrise Game Viewing in Serengeti

Head for an early morning game viewing in the heart of Serengeti National Park, while enjoying the beautiful sunrise with your Tanzanian tour guide.
Head back for a full brunch, then leave the camp for Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a game drive en route.

Retire at Simba Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 04

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive to Arusha

After breakfast, with a packed picnic lunch, drive down into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game viewing experience. While on the game drive, keep an eye open - we may see the Big Five animals: buffalo, lion, leopard, elephant, and black rhino.
This afternoon, we will have lunch at the Ngoitoktok picnic site.
After lunch, we will continue with a short game drive as we drive up the crater rim to pick up the camping staff.
Head back to Arusha.
