Mekong River Cruise, Village Cycling, and Local Crafts
7:30 to 8:30 AM: Pick up from the hotel, followed by a 2-hour drive to Bến Tre.
Visit the local market located on the riverside.
Head for a local boat ride on the Mekong River with your Mekong guide.
Proceed to one of the many coconut processing workshops located along the canal to see how local people process coconuts to make different kinds of products.
Take a walk to a family workshop to see how they make sleeping mats, one of the traditional jobs still left in the countryside of the Mekong Delta.
Continue with a bicycle ride around the picturesque village for 30 minutes.
Get a chance to try some local specialties with Mekong River food.
Take a sampan, a 3.5-4.5-meter-long flat-bottomed boat, along the beautiful palm-fringed creeks. Then take a motor cart on shady paths passing by green rice fields and vegetable plains to experience real life in the countryside and the tropical culture of the peasants. The motor cart will take you to the place where the car is waiting to drive you back to the city.
5:00 PM: Head back to the hotel.
