Day 01

Deniyaya Bird Watching and Village Experience

2.00 AM: Meet your Deniyaya tour guide at an agreed-upon location and depart from Colombo to reach Deniyaya town.
6.00 AM: Upon arrival, head to the buffer zone and board a tuk-tuk to travel through the picturesque landscape of rice fields, palm trees, and bamboo forests. Cars cannot go beyond the buffer zone.
Spot local birds such as the Grey Hornbill, Sri Lankan Hanging Parrot, Black-headed Ibis, and Wood Pigeon during the tuk-tuk ride.
Walk along a trail beneath a 45-meter-high canopy to explore the rainforest and identify certain medicinal plants, while also taking pictures of a variety of lizards, spiders, endemic black monkeys, giant squirrels, black centipedes, and more.
