Visit the Kotte Naga Viharaya temple. This sacred monument brings together major features such as religious views, political stability, architecture, and the life of the Kingdom of Kotte.
Proceed to the Parliament of Sri Lanka, a work by renowned architect Jeffry Bawa, where you can gain an architectural perspective on the political shifts of Sri Lanka from the Colonial and Monarch eras.
Head towards the National Museum, founded in 1877. This place holds evidence of why Sri Lanka is renowned for its appealing history and archaeology.
Wander through the streets of Cinnamon Garden. This lush green part of Colombo used to be the residential area of the upper-middle class during the Colonial period.
Visit Galle Face Green. This beachfront promenade is where city dwellers gather to take a break from the exhaustion of daily life. Enjoying street food at sunset is something most visitors, including yourself, can do here. The area is surrounded by mammoth examples of Dutch and English Colonial architecture.
Move to the Sri Kailawasanathan Swami Hindu temple, where you can admire magnificent roof paintings and carvings.
5.00 PM - Admire the Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya temple. With a history that goes back beyond 500 BCE, this temple is probably the most sacred and religiously important Buddhist shrine in Colombo.
