Day 01

Ceylonese Night Safari in Colombo

• 6:30 PM - Meet your tour guide at the agreed-upon location and begin your tour deep into the evening as traces of light start to fade away. Your first encounters will be twilight insects. These soft-bodied, and therefore relatively defenseless, insects spend the day hidden in cracks or temporary shelters, only to emerge during twilight in search of plant-based food.

• In the next phase of your tour, look out for the Rusty Spotted Cat and the Ceylon Jackal.

• Go deeper into the night as you come across some nocturnal bird species, along with bats, owls, and various species of civets. This is also the time when different snakes, such as cobras and vipers, begin their day in search of food.

• 10:30 PM - Head back.
