Colombo Birdwatching Walk and Wetland Exploration
5.45 AM - Meet your tour guide at the agreed-upon location and begin the tour.
6.00 AM - Enjoy the walk from the villa to your main starting point, the best birding location in Colombo. Expect to spot a couple of domestic bird species along the way. Here, you have a good chance of seeing some of the most colourful birds in Colombo, such as tanagers, purple swamphen, blue-tailed bee-eater, black-hooded oriole, and pheasant-tailed jacana.
7.00 AM - Take a short break and enjoy a refreshing breakfast at the small marshy land you will find at the end of the round tour. Explore more birds around the marshy land area.
7.30 AM - Head to the wetland area, where you can continue your bird chase while children fill in the provided sheets with ticks in the boxes. Here, you will look for a few endemic species such as the Sri Lankan green pigeon, Sri Lankan barbet, greater Sri Lankan flameback, and Ceylon hanging parrot.
9.00 AM - Head back to your accommodation.
