Itinerary

1. Day1: Arrival in Ngorongoro crater

   • Meet your professional tour guide/driver in Arusha town, who will deliver a short safari information briefing. Travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will be transported in a 4 wheel drive vehicle with a roof hatch. 

   • Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. Descend over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater to view wildlife for an afternoon game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. 

   • Visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here.

   Dinner and overnight at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge.

2. Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

   • Have breakfast. With picnic lunch in hand, transfer to the Lake Manyara National Park.

   • Head into the Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions (rare), as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake.

   • Travel back to Arusha.
