From Iquitos to Rio Yarapa Lodge and Dolphin Search
- Pick up from your hotel or airport in a private car at around 8:30 a.m. from Iquitos. After a drive of about 1.5 hours, we reach the town of Nauta.
- In Nauta, we change to a typical boat from this region, which takes us to the lodge in 2 hours. Sail on the two main rivers of the Amazon, the Rio Marañon and Ucayali.
- Reach the lodge located on the serene Rio Yarapa within the nature reserve.
- Enjoy a delicious lunch at the lodge, prepared with fresh local ingredients.
- Embark on a boat excursion to search for and observe the unique river dolphins of the Amazon region. Keep your eyes peeled for both the pink and gray river dolphins.
- After dinner, we set off on a night excursion on foot to search for snakes, frogs, spiders, and everything else the jungle has in store for us.
