Day 01

Luxor's East and West Bank Temples and Tombs from Cairo

  • Pick up from your hotel in Cairo and head to Luxor by bus.

  • Arrive in Luxor and travel to the west bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, known for the magnificence and grandeur of its architecture, where many ancient Egyptian kings are buried.

  • Visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmosis I, who ruled Egypt for 20 years during the 18th Dynasty.

  • See the Colossi of Memnon, the only remains of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III.

  • Explore the Karnak Temples, the greatest example of worship in history, dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu.

  • Continue to Luxor Temple, built by Amunhotep III during the 18th Dynasty in the New Kingdom and completed by Ramses II during the 19th Dynasty.

Return to Cairo by bus.
