Itinerary

1. Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli

   • Head out from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park, which is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. It dominates the landscape and open plains.

   • While on the road, indulge in a short game drive.

   • Spot elephants, lions and other mammals at play 

   • Check-in, have lunch and take a short rest.

   • Head out for an afternoon game drive at the park against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. 

   Dinner and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp.

2. Day 2: Amboseli National Park

   • Head on for an early morning game drive and come back for breakfast.

   • Spend the day in game drives, with packed lunch during the break.

3. Day 3: Lake Nakuru National Park

   • Go for a morning game drive.

   • After breakfast, depart for Nakuru via Nairobi, lunch at a city restaurant and after lunch, proceed to Nakuru. The lake has been called ‘the new home of the flamingo’ with a nomad population of up to two million birds.

   • Arrive in Nakuru and proceed for an afternoon game drive at the Lake Nakuru National Park in search of warthogs, waterbuck, buffaloes, reedbucks, and the occasional leopard. White and black rhinos were introduced to the park some years ago, and you will find white rhino at the southern end. The park has also retained its reputation as an ornithologists’ delight with more than 400 species of bird found here.

   Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Flamingo lodge

4. Day 4: Masai Mara

   • After breakfast, leave Lake Nakuru for Masai Mara (a 5-hour drive to the Masai Mara).

   • Pass through Narok, a town known for its Masai settlements.

   • Arrive in time for lunch as you check-in at Elengata Mara camp or similar and have lunch.

   • Head for an evening game drive through the park in search of the Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo and other members of the Big five, alongside other animals.

   All meals and overnight at Elenkang Camp.

5. Day 5: Masai Mara

   • Explore the Masai Mara National Reserve, which joins the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.

   • Arrive in time for lunch. The plains of Masai Mara teem with wild animals, and one is almost guaranteed to seeing all the Big Five.

   • Spend the rest of the day in game drives.

   Dinner and overnight at Elenkang Camp.

6. Day 6: Departure

   • After breakfast, depart for Nairobi.

   • Lunch at Carnivore Restaurant/a city restaurant and head home.
