Day 1: Moshi to Lemosho Glades 2100m to Big Tree Camp
Leave in the morning from Moshi to Londorossi village, where Lemosho gate is located.
Make a 2100m trek which winds up through the lush forest zone onto the lower slopes of the northern side, going to Shira Plateau.
Overnight at Mti Mkubwa Camp.
7kms – 3 hours – Altitude gain 700m

Day 2: Big Tree 2800m to Shira Camp 2
Trek to Shira 2 Hut, walking through the fine open moorlands.
Overnight at Shira 2 Hut.
14kms – 8 to 9hrs – Altitude gain 1050m

Day 3: Shira Camp 2 3850m to Barranco Camp
Take a long trek to Barranco, where the camp lies in a sheltered area below the remarkable cliffs of the Breach wall.
Note that the Breach wall, the dome of Uhuru and the edge of the Heim Glacier dominate the head of the valley.
Overnight at Barranco Camp.
10kms – 6 to 7hrs – Altitude gain 700m, down 600m

Day 4: Barranco Camp 3950m to Karanga Valley Camp
Consider this as a day for acclimatisation as you continue from Baranco to Karanga valley.
Overnight at Karanga Camp.
6kms - 3 to 4hrs - Altitude gain 250m down 250m

Day 5: Karanga Camp 3963m to Barafu Camp
In the morning, trek to Barafu.
Marvel as Huge glaciers and cliffs can be seen, which mark this part of the mountain. Here is the last water point.
Overnight Barafu Camp.
4kms – 3 to 4hrs – Altitude gain 650m

Day 6: Barafu Hut 4600m to Uhuru Peak 5895m to Millennium Camp
At midnight, begin your trek up to the final steep, crossing scree section to reach Stella Point.
Walk steadily up the ridge and about the crater to reach Uhuru Peak at 5895m.
From the summit, descend to spend the night at Millennium.
19km -12 to 14hrs – Altitude gain 1295m down 2105m

Day 7: Millennium Camp 3730m to Mweka Gate 1800m to Moshi
Covering the last section of the mountain, continue down through the forests to the gate where your vehicle will be waiting to transport you back to Moshi.
13kms – 5 to 6hrs – Descend 1650m
