Meet your tour representative in Addis Ababa and drive northeast to Ankober, the 14th historical city, located 160 km away.

Drive for 4 or 5 hours through the Ethiopian Highlands, at an altitude of 2000 to 2700 meters.
Arrive in the little town of Shewa Robit, located in the Semien Shewa Zone of the Amhara Region.

Make your way to Nora, the ghost town that has everyone's attention piqued. Apart from the medieval mosque, little remains of this town. The triple discovery of Nora, Asbari, and Masal sheds light on the extent of Muslim influence found in the core of the Ethiopian diaspora.
Head to the highest point of the site, a five-meter-high building that is said to be the main mosque of the abandoned city.
Drive to the Guassa Community Conservation Area, located along one of the most significant historic routes in Ethiopia, and enjoy spectacular Afromontane landscapes on the Guassa Plateau. As you step into the town, you can experience the typical Ethiopian village lifestyle around you.

Head out for a short trek to the nearby mountain top.
Rise early for a quick yet power-packed breakfast. Today is another eventful day as you trek on foot or muleback for around five or six hours from Regreg to Atse Wiha.

The last day of the trek often brings a sense of wistfulness, as the end is never easy to comprehend. Do not let that prevent you from enjoying a short stroll to the main road.
