Trek to the Palaung Villages of Htut Ni, See Kya Inn, and Yasakyi
Early in the morning in Pindaya, walk to the market and buy all the provisions for your forthcoming 3-day trek.
Enjoy a 1-hour walk through the hills to Htut Ni, a village of the Palaung tribe.
Pass through the fertile area where the Palaung cultivate cheroot, tea, damsons, and mangoes on the hillsides. The track crosses the valley floor before climbing steeply again to another Palaung village, See Kya Inn.
Continue walking for about 2 hours to Yasakyi, another Palaung village, and stop for a simple lunch.
In the afternoon, observe tribal village life and see how the Palaung people dry cheroot in a specially designed oven.
Simple dinner and accommodation at Yasakyi Monastery.
