3-Day Masai Mara Safari from Nairobi with Wildebeest Migration

• Start from Nairobi in the company of your guide for a 5-hour journey to Masai Mara National Park.

• Pass through Narok, a famous Masai settlement, and admire the beauty of the area.

• Arrive in time for lunch as you check in to Elengata Mara Camp.

• Head for an afternoon game drive through the park, searching for lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, and other animals.

Dinner and overnight at Elengata Mara Camp.

• Head for an early morning game drive and return to camp for breakfast.

• Spend the full day in the park with a packed lunch, searching for its popular residents, the wildebeest. The Masai Mara plains are full of wildebeest during migration season from early July to the end of September.

• Keep a lookout for zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson's gazelle, leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and bat-eared foxes. Black rhinos are a little shy and hard to spot, but they are often seen at a distance if you are lucky.

• Make sure to go to the Mara River to watch the hippos and the large Nile crocodiles, which lie in wait for a meal as the wildebeest cross on their annual quest to find new pastures.
