The itinerary

1
Day 01

Arrival in Kathmandu

  • Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel.
  • You will also be given further instructions about the program. There are no planned activities for the day, so check in to the hotel and enjoy your overnight stay.
2
Day 02

Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding

  • Early in the morning, transfer to the airport for your Lukla flight. The flight to Lukla is a lifetime experience in itself. The airfield sits at high elevation, and the difference between the two ends of the runway is an exceptional 60 meters only.
  • Then, trek to Phakding, surrounded by the green landscape of the Himalayan foothills with views of Kusum Kanguru peak. Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
3
Day 03

Trek to Namche Bazaar

  • Following the Dudh Koshi River, ascend through Himalayan pine and cedar forests to the celebrated village of Namche Bazaar. Namche is a historic trading post where Nepalese and Tibetan traders once exchanged salt, dried meat, and textiles. Besides being a splendid destination to shop for traditional crafts, it remains the central trading post in the Khumbu, attracting both Himalayan and lowland merchants.
  • You will spend two days at Namche for acclimatization, visiting local markets and spending time with your team.
  • Along the hike, capture your first glimpses of Everest and neighbouring peaks. Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
4
Day 04

Acclimatization at Namche and Everest View Hotel

  • This day is especially set aside for acclimatization. Hike to Syangboche Airport (3700m), believed to be the highest airport in the world, then continue climbing to Everest View Hotel for great panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Tawache Peak, and many others.
  • On the way back, you can also visit the Sherpa Culture Museum and the Everest Photo Gallery. Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
5
Day 05

Trek to Tengboche Monastery

  • The uniform and easy trail leads towards views of Mount Everest, descending deep into the Dudh Koshi Valley at Pungki Thanka.
  • From this point, the trail ascends along the right flank of the Dudh Kosi Valley to Tengboche Monastery (3860m), the spiritual center of the Khumbu. The climb is lengthy, but it is more than adequately compensated by gorgeous views of Mount Ama Dablam and, on a clear day, views of Mount Everest and its surrounding peaks. Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
6
Day 06

Trek to Dingboche

  • Descending through a beautiful forest, cross the Imja Khola and trek through the village of Pangboche (3900m), with views of Mount Ama Dablam, Mount Lhotse, and many other peaks.
  • The route continues through pastures to Dingboche, known as the 'summer valley'. Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
7
Day 07

Acclimatization Hike to Nagarjun and Return to Dingboche

  • This is your second acclimatization day and requires about 6 hours of trekking to an altitude of 5100m. After breakfast, ascend to Nagarjun (5100m), a hill located on the flanks of the Chhukung Valley directly above Dingboche.
  • The footpath becomes steep at times, making this a physically strenuous day. Ascending the hill could take up to 5 hours at altitude. From here, there are good views of Lobuche East (6119m), Lobuche West (6145m), Taboche Peak (6367m), Thamserku (6608m), Kangtega (6685m), and Ama Dablam (6856m). On a clear day, you could even see Makalu, the world's fifth-highest mountain, along with great views of the Pheriche Valley.
  • After a short rest, begin the descent back to Dingboche, with the walk at altitude taking about 2 hours.
  • After lunch, take a well-deserved rest, as afternoon temperatures can drop rapidly when the sun sets over the mountain tops. You will spend a second night in Dingboche. Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
8
Day 08

Trek to Lobuche

  • Today, trek along a broad valley floor to Dughla, passing the Trekkers Aid Post at Pheriche (4240m). This aid post is staffed by western volunteer doctors and supported by the Himalayan Rescue Association, which offers treatment and consultation to trekkers. Continuing up the valley, you will keep gaining altitude.
  • You then come out of the valley and descend to the yak pastures of Lobuche. Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
9
Day 09

Trek to Everest Base Camp and Return to Gorak Shep

  • After a short climb through meadows, you can look down at the Khumbu Glacier. Straight ahead is Kala Pattar - the best vantage point to view the entire south face of Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks.
  • After a couple of hours, reach Gorak Shep and continue your journey to Everest Base Camp. There is not much elevation gain, but there are many ups and downs, and combined with the altitude, this can be an exhausting trek - but the journey is worth it.
  • After approximately 3 hours of hiking, arrive at the base camp and enjoy a magnificent view of the Khumbu Glacier and icefall, where the Everest expeditions begin. Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
10
Day 10

Hike to Kala Pattar and Descend to Pheriche

  • The day starts with a hike up to Kala Pattar (5545m), the best viewpoint to witness Mount Everest in all its glory and the spectacular Himalayan range.
  • You then trek back to Gorak Shep for breakfast and descend to Pheriche. Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
11
Day 11

Trek Back to Namche Bazaar

  • Today, enjoy an easy walk along the Imja Khola.
  • After a short climb to Tengboche, descend to Pungki Thanka and complete the steep section to Kyangjuma before following the easier trail back to Namche. Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
12
Day 12

Trek to Lukla

  • The trek continues along the Dudh Kosi River to the small mountain airstrip at Lukla, where you will catch your return flight to Kathmandu the next day. Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
13
Day 13

Fly Back to Kathmandu

  • A 30-minute amazing scenic flight back to Kathmandu concludes your time in the mountains. Overnight at the hotel. Breakfast included.
14
Day 14

Departure from Kathmandu

  • Breakfast at the hotel, and approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight, you will be taken to the airport for your departure.
