Day 01

Georgian Military Road to Stepantsminda and Gergeti

• After breakfast, drive along the Georgian Military Road from Tbilisi to Stepantsminda (Kazbegi).

• On the way, visit Ananuri Fortress (XVII-XVI C).

• Continue to the Gudauri Ski Resort and drive across Cross Pass (2395 m above sea level).

• Stop to taste sour mineral spring water.

• Arrive in Stepantsminda (Kazbegi) and begin the hike to Gergeti Trinity Monastery (XIV C), located on top of Gergeti Hill (2200 m above sea level). From here, you will have a spectacular view of Mt. Kazbegi (5047 m above sea level).

• Drive to Dariali Gorge and take a short walk to Gveleti's Waterfall.

• Return to Tbilisi.
