Full-Day Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm Tour
Pick up from your hotel or Siem Reap International Airport.
Arrive at the South Gate of Angkor Thom. It was the last capital city of the Khmer Empire, and it was also the largest capital city in the world, with about 1 million inhabitants in the 12th century.
Visit Bayon Temple, a very famous site with four smiling faces on each tower, as well as Baphuon, Phimeanakas, the Terrace of the Elephant, and the Terrace of the Leper King.
Continue to the jungle temple of Ta Prohm. This temple is covered by trees, and you feel like you are rediscovering the Angkor temples, just as Henri Mahout did in 1860 AD when he came across the temples in the jungle by accident.
Stop for lunch at a local restaurant to taste real local Cambodian food, or Khmer food.
Continue to visit Angkor Wat, the largest temple in the world and also one of the world's wonders. Angkor Wat is the national symbol of Cambodia, as you will see its towers appear on the national flag of Cambodia.
Spend time in the temple exploring the surroundings and witnessing the carvings on the sandstone walls until the temple closes at 5:30 PM.
