Nairobi National Park, Wildlife Conservation and Heritage Sites
Visit Nairobi National Park, home to several wildlife species such as endangered black rhinos, buffaloes, a wide range of antelopes, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, and more. Bird watchers can find over 200 species of birds here, including the secretary bird, vultures, crowned cranes, woodpeckers, and many others.
Proceed to the David Sheldrick elephant orphanage, which rehabilitates elephants and other wildlife. These animals come to the centre due to poaching, the loss of their mothers, injuries, or getting lost in the wild.
Head over to the Karen Blixen Museum, home of a pioneer coffee cultivator. You will get to know the life of a remarkable woman.
Continue to the Giraffe Centre, home to the famous Giraffe Manor Hotel, where you can have a chance to enjoy breakfast with giraffes. It is also home to Daisy, the first Rothschild giraffe, rescued as a baby in 1979 from an area frequently targeted by poachers. You will get a chance to feed the giraffes and take pictures with them.
