5-Day Tanzania Safari through Serengeti, Manyara and Tarangire

Your safari begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha. Drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobab trees, large elephant herds and beautiful savannah landscapes. Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park. Look out for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo and many species of birds. In the late afternoon, leave the park and continue to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a memorable game drive. Explore the park’s groundwater forest, open plains and lakeshore habitats. Watch for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, baboons and abundant birdlife. With luck, you may see the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing to the Karatu area for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, begin the journey toward the legendary Serengeti. Travel through the Ngorongoro highlands and enter Serengeti National Park. Enjoy a game drive en route as you make your way toward Central Serengeti. The endless plains offer excellent opportunities to see lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, zebras, wildebeest and other wildlife. Arrive at your lodge or tented camp in the evening.

Wake up early for a full day of wildlife exploration in the Serengeti. The early morning is an excellent time to search for predators and active wildlife. Continue exploring different areas of the park with your experienced safari guide, stopping for a picnic lunch in the wilderness. Depending on the season and wildlife movements, you may witness large herds of wildebeest and zebras, as well as lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes and other wildlife. Enjoy a spectacular Serengeti sunset before returning to camp.

Day 5: Serengeti – Morning Game Drive – Moshi/Arusha Start your final day with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti. Take advantage of the cooler hours to search for wildlife before breakfast. After breakfast, begin your journey back toward Moshi or Arusha, enjoying game viewing along the way where time and park regulations allow. Your safari ends with a drop-off at your hotel or agreed departure point.
