The itinerary

Day 01

Krusedol Monastery, Sremski Karlovci and Novi Sad

  • Pickup at 10 am from your hotel in Belgrade and drive to the Vojvodina Province.

  • Visit Krusedol Monastery from the 16th century, one of the most valuable Serbian Orthodox monasteries, which was declared a Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance in 1990.

  • Continue to Sremski Karlovci, a small Baroque town where the Treaty of Karlowitz was signed at the end of the Great Turkish War in 1699.

  • Learn about local history at the Chapel of Peace, followed by time to explore the streets of the town.

  • Arrive at a wine cellar and enjoy a tasting of famous wines from this region.

  • Head to Novi Sad and its famous Petrovaradin Fortress, where the Exit music festival is held every summer. Novi Sad city centre has a number of noteworthy buildings and monuments, mostly in the Baroque style, along with some excellent museums and art galleries.

  • Explore the city centre and take a lunch break.

  • Return to Belgrade at approximately 6 pm.

  • Drop-off at your hotel.
