Sunrise to Sunset at Angkor's Iconic Temples
Start your day at 5:00 am and travel to Angkor Wat, the world's biggest religious monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will love watching the sunrise over the golden temple, and the entire experience is unforgettable.

Head back to town or return to your hotel for breakfast before continuing the tour.
Proceed to the Southern Gate of Angkor Thom, the temple complex that served as the longest and most resilient capital of the Khmer Empire. Its name translates to Great City, and the complex spans several square kilometers. The buildings here are constructed from laterite and sandstone.
Arrive at Bayon, an ancient temple whose most valued feature is the presence of numerous smiling faces carved onto its towers and upper levels.
Continue to Ta Prohm, now a ruin shaped by the passage of time, where numerous trees and shrubs grow in and around the temple. This creates a gorgeous setting for photography, with a striking contrast between the ancient stone and the freshness of the greenery.

Travel to Banteay Srey, made of red sandstone and adorned with many gorgeous carvings. The temple is also known as the jewel of the Khmer Empire's constructions because of its smaller, miniaturized buildings. Though similar in style and shape to the Angkor temples, these structures appear beautifully scaled down.

Continue to Pre Rup, a mountainous temple notable for the funerals that were conducted here. The temple was built from laterite, sandstone, and brick. It features two long galleries running along each side, as well as a square pyramid with three tiers inside.
