2-Day Gombe Chimpanzee Trekking Tour from Kigoma by Speedboat

Early in the morning, one of our company representatives will pick you up from your hotel in Kigoma town. Transfer by speedboat to Gombe National Park. This boat ride is a scenic experience in itself, offering views of Lake Tanganyika and the park's forested hills.

Upon arrival at the park headquarters, check in and leave your items in your accommodation at the tented camp. In the late morning, embark on your first chimpanzee trekking experience. Follow your experienced guide into the forest in search of chimpanzee groups, and observe these fascinating primates in their natural habitat. Return to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation.

Enjoy an early morning breakfast before embarking on another chimpanzee trekking excursion. Each trek offers a unique experience, as chimpanzees move within their territory. You might encounter different groups or observe different behaviors.

Spend time observing and photographing these incredible creatures, and remember to maintain a respectful distance. After your trek, return to the park headquarters for a relaxed lunch, and if you would like, you can swim in the clear crystal water of the lake. Transfer back to Kigoma by boat for the overnight, or take your flight back home.
