Trip details

What's Included

  • Full day of guiding, 8+ hours.

What's Not Included

  • Personal Equipment: Your own hiking clothes, boots, and gear.

  • Food: Snacks, packed lunch, and trail food.

  • Drinks: Water, sports drinks, or personal beverages.

What to bring

  • A lightweight backpack is mandatory for this fast-paced endurance climb. However, it must contain all of the minimum, ultra-important gear and food required to sustain you safely in the high alpine environment.

    • Footwear: High-performance trekking shoes or boots with deep grip. The terrain features steep, rocky sections and loose gravel.

    • Wind & Cold Protection: A lightweight windproof jacket or shell layer. The mountain ridge can become very windy and cold, even in the middle of summer.

    • Sun Protection: Sunglasses, sun cream, and a hat. High-altitude alpine zones have intense UV exposure.

    • Hydration & Treatment: Bring a minimum of 2 liters of water to start. There are reliable water sources along the route, but you must bring water-filtering equipment or purification tablets to treat the mountain water safely.

    • Nutrition: Appropriate, high-calorie trail food and a packed lunch to sustain an 8+ hour physical effort.

    • Safety Light: A small, reliable headlamp with fresh batteries in case of an early start or late descent.

  • Optional Addition: A lightweight emergency blanket is nice to have in your pack for extra peace of mind.

Know before you go

  • Guide Authority & Conduct: The guide can cancel or modify the trip immediately if a hiker disregards safety advice, lacks the required equipment, or fails to maintain safe conduct on the trail.

  • Abrupt Modifications & Cancellations: Because this is a remote alpine environment, the trip can be altered or aborted at any point if safety criteria are not met - such as a hiker being unable to safely navigate a narrow, exposed ridge.

  • Wildlife & Bear Safety: Hikers must follow the guide's instructions immediately if wild animals, including brown bears, or livestock-guarding dogs are encountered. Do not run, approach, or feed them.

  • Pre-Trip Briefing: A mandatory briefing will take place one day prior to the trip. We will meet for a short chat to review details, check gear, and discuss the safety standards.
