Jabal Al Akhdar Villages, Rose Terraces, and Mountain Walks

  • Pickup will begin for participants, or a meeting point will be arranged at Burj Al Sahwa car parking area in Seeb, Muscat, from 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM. Trip instructions and the itinerary will be shared, and participants can enjoy a short coffee before departure.

  • There will be a breakfast stop on the way, if needed.

  • Then, drive to Jabal Al Akhdar, with arrival expected before 12 o'clock.

  • The first stop on the trip will be a visit to the heritage village of Sughra, one of the oldest villages in Oman, carved into the heart of the Green Mountain and over 500 years old. This is followed by a walk and descent down the long staircase to the bottom of the secluded village, where participants can enjoy views of the valley and have a coffee from Ana Coffee Shop.

  • After that, drive through the mountains to return toward the city for lunch at a local restaurant.

  • After lunch, continue with another beautiful visit to the Rose Garden at Al Sharijah and the terrace farm. It is a private garden. There will be a long walk through the garden until reaching the terraced farms, where there will be time to stop for beautiful photos.

  • The walk continues between the farms until reaching a village called Al Ain Village. Continue exploring traditional mountain villages, allowing participants to walk through narrow stone paths. The village has been developed into a premier tourist destination with the addition of cafes serving rose coffee and rose cake, a specialty of Al Ain during the rose season.

  • After the long walk between the terraced farms and narrow stone paths, there will be a rest at a place called Dian Spot in Jabal Night Restaurant. There, participants will enjoy mountain views of the Rose Garden on the other side.

  • Finally, before sunset, begin the return journey back to Muscat, around 4 to 5 PM, full of beautiful memories and photos.
