Private Tour of Mont-Saint-Michel and Its Benedictine Abbey
Let's discover this most magical place together.
We meet at the car park, then transfer by shuttle bus.
We stop on the bridge to discover the salt marshes and the vast Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, hear information about the highest tidal range in Europe, and hopefully spot some local sheep - and maybe even some seals or dolphins.
We then discover the medieval village with its half-timbered houses, medieval town gates, Saint Peter's church, and cemetery.
Next, we walk on the fortifications, including the 14th/15th-century town wall, and reach the Northern Tower for splendid views of the Bay.
The tour continues with a guided visit to the Benedictine Abbey, a state museum. Tickets are excluded. Inside, we explore the Abbey Church from the 11th and 15th centuries, the famous cloister and scriptorium, Romanesque and Gothic rooms, mysterious crypts, and the medieval elevator.
In the village, you will also find cafés, restaurants, sandwiches, gift shops, a post office, and restrooms.
The tour ends at the car park.
Please note: walking all the way up to the Abbey is strenuous.
Not included: museum tickets (16€ per person), car park fees, and food and drink.
