Itinerary

1. Day 1: Sweetwaters

   • Arrival and meet with driver-guide at Jomo Kenyatta International airport. 

   • Drive to Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary and arrive in time for lunch.

   • Afternoon game drive will give you an opportunity to visit the chimpanzee sanctuary. The combination of amazing wildlife and splendid views of Mt Kenya across the open plains of Ol Pejeta guarantees a memorable safari experience to guests. It is on 110,000-acre wildlife land. This is a Conservation boast of the amazing diversity of animals, including the non-indigenous chimpanzees and the big 5 (the endangered black rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo and lion) and other game such as buffalo, Grevy's zebra, giraffe, Thomson’s gazelle, black-back jackals, Grant’s gazelle, baboons, waterbuck, oryx and several species of birds.

2. Day 2: Full Day at Ol Pejeta

   • Post breakfast, there are morning and afternoon game drives in this sanctuary with amazing sights.

3. Day 3: Mt Kenya

   • Drive to Mt Kenya region after breakfast to arrive at overnight game viewing tree hotel in time for lunch.

   • Watch the wildlife drinking at the floodlit waterhole, the Big 5, as well as several other animals and birds.

   Overnight at Serena Mountain Lodge on a full board basis.

4. Day 4: Full Day at Lake Nakuru National Park

   • After breakfast, drive straight via Nairobi through the magnificent Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park, best known for its flamingoes. Kenya’s Lake Nakuru has been ranked among the world’s most colourful destinations by National Geographic.

   • In the heart of the Kenyan Great Rift Valley, Lake Nakuru hosts one of the greatest bird spectacles on the planet, as hundreds of thousands of greater and lesser pink flamingos flock, in blankets of pink, to the water’s edge to feed on the lake’s algae. The park is also a sanctuary for black rhinos.

5. Day 5: Full Day at Masai Mara

   • After breakfast, traverse the Rift Valley and ascend its western rim into the Masai land. Red-clad, with spears, Maasai warriors tend their herds of cattle among the wildlife, admirably unmoved by the presence of large predators. The Masai giraffe is visible in this park.

   • Afternoon game drive in the Mara, famous for the Wildebeest and Zebra migration and its abundance of wildlife.

   Overnight at AA Lodge on a full board basis.

6. Day 6: Full Day at Masai Mara

   • Morning and afternoon game drives after breakfast in this spectacular game reserve, all with superb photographic opportunities (picnic lunch boxes for full day game drives available). Blessed with a permanent water supply, Masai Mara has a permanent population of plains game. The “big five” – elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and rhino are quite common. 

     • Options for an early morning balloon excursion to experience the panoramic Mara from a birds-eye view. 

   • Night game drive to see the nocturnal animals out and about in the Savanna land.

   • Overnight at AA Lodge on a full board basis.

7. Day 7: Masai Mara to Nairobi

   • After breakfast, enjoy morning game drives or spend a relaxing time.

   • Drive to Nairobi and drop off at JKI Airport for onward flight.
