Shwedagon Pagoda, Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, and Bogyoke Market
Start the tour at 8 am with a visit to the magnificent 2,500-year-old Shwedagon Pagoda. Marvel at this wonder, sheathed in 11 tons of pure gold and adorned with 4,350 diamonds weighing around 1,800 carats.
Proceed to Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, which houses a 70 m-long reclining Buddha image. Then admire the green Kandawgyi Park and its highlighted Karaweik barge, a replica of the royal barge.
Make your way through Bogyoke (Scotts) Market and shop in this famous market, home to hundreds of gemstone, handicraft, art, clothing, and food stores. Please note that the market is closed on Mondays and public holidays.
Eat lunch at a local restaurant.
