Day by day
Get picked up from your hotel or the airport and depart for Nyerere National Park on a 5 to 6-hour drive.
Enjoy lunch on the way or a hot lunch at the lodge.
Arrive in the late afternoon and head out for a late afternoon boat safari until sunset.
Overnight stay at a lodge on a full-board basis.
Enjoy an early breakfast.
Depart for a full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park. Covering 30,893 sq km, the park supports enormous numbers of elephants, buffalos, zebras, and wildebeests. Other rare species include the African hunting dogs.
Have lunch under the shady trees, with a great view of one of the lakes inside the park.
Return to the lodge before sunset for an overnight stay on a full-board basis.
Start the day with a walking safari as early as 06:30. This will bring you close to some of the smallest animals and plants that you would not see from a vehicle.
Return for breakfast.
Drive back to Dar es Salaam and get dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
