Georgian Military Highway, Gudauri and Gergeti Trinity Church
Drive along the famous Georgian Military Highway and stop at some of its main sights. Halt at Jinvali Reservoir, a beautiful and peaceful lake in the middle of the hills.
Next, stop at Ananuri Fortress, an excellent example of medieval architecture and a witness to many important battles. If you wish, you can even climb one of the towers still standing and enjoy the panoramic view over Jinvali Reservoir.
Continue into the mountains via winding roads and enjoy marvelous views on all sides. Pass mineral springs and beautiful mountain rivers, including the joining point of the Black and White Aragvi, until you finally reach Gudauri at a height of 2,400 m.
Visit the Friendship Arch in Gudauri, a famous Soviet monument at the highest point of this road. You can enjoy paragliding here.
Tour Kazbegi, one of Georgia's must-see destinations, known primarily for its fantastic hiking routes and stunning nature.
Visit Gergeti Trinity Church, a must-visit in this area. Built in the 13th century, this church is located 1,800 meters above sea level (5,905 feet) and offers panoramic views.
