The itinerary

Day 01

Arusha to Tarangire National Park Safari

Morning: After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, begin an exciting game drive through the park, famous for its ancient baobab trees, large elephant herds, and abundant wildlife.
Afternoon: Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your game drive in search of lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, and a variety of bird species.
Evening: Drive to Fanaka Lodge and Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 02

Through the Ngorongoro Highlands to Central Serengeti

Morning: After an early breakfast, travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Serengeti National Park, enjoying spectacular views of the highlands and endless plains along the way.
Afternoon: Arrive in Central Serengeti, enjoy a picnic lunch, and begin your first game drive through the park, searching for the Big Five and other wildlife.
Evening: Continue your sunset game drive before heading to Seronera Public Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 03

Full-Day Serengeti Game Drive

Morning: After breakfast, set out on a full-day game drive across the vast Serengeti plains. The early morning offers excellent opportunities to spot predators and other wildlife.
Afternoon: Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated picnic site before continuing your exploration of different areas of the park, with chances to witness the Great Migration (seasonal).
Evening: Return to Seronera Public Campsite for dinner and another overnight stay.

Day 04

Extended Serengeti Wildlife Exploration

Morning: Following breakfast, continue exploring different regions of Serengeti National Park, visiting areas known for exceptional wildlife concentrations and stunning landscapes.
Afternoon: Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your afternoon game drive, searching for leopards, cheetahs, elephants, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, and numerous antelope species.
Evening: Return to Seronera Public Campsite for dinner and your final overnight stay in Serengeti.

Day 05

Ngorongoro Crater Safari and Return to Arusha

Morning: After an early breakfast, depart Serengeti and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive, offering excellent opportunities to spot the endangered black rhino, lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and many other animals.
Afternoon: Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool before completing your crater game drive. Ascend the crater and begin your return journey to Arusha.
Evening: Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon or early evening, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your unforgettable 5-day shared camping safari.

Temperatures can be cold during the early mornings and evenings, especially in the Ngorongoro Highlands.
Daily game drives may involve long distances on rough roads.
Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed, but Tanzania's Northern Circuit offers some of the best safari experiences in Africa.
Mobile network coverage is limited in some areas of Serengeti National Park.
