What to bring

Layers / windbreaker: It gets surprisingly cold and windy at 500 feet, especially on a doors-off helicopter flight.
Dark-colored top: Wear a black or dark navy shirt. Bright or white clothing reflects heavily off the aircraft windows, ruining your photos.
Closed-toe shoes: Sneakers or hiking boots are mandatory. Sandals or flip-flops can easily blow off your feet.
Hair ties or beanie: Long hair will blow wildly into your face and eyes. Tie it back securely or pin it under a tight cap.

Know before you go

Strict weight caps: Small aircraft and helicopters have incredibly strict payload limits. You must provide your exact body weight, including heavy camera gear, during booking so operators can calculate fuel and balance.
Soft bags only: If your scenic flight also functions as a transfer to a bush camp, you must use a soft-sided duffel bag with no wheels or frames. Hard suitcases will not fit into the aircraft's under-belly pods.
