Hike Through Villages to Mkuzu Waterfalls
Hike from Lushoto town through the local villages as you make your way to this small, romantic waterfall.
Pass through "Jaegersthal," a residential farming area bordering the natural forest and a colonial German heritage site known as the "hunting valley."
Observe local life and farming in Lushoto as you pass through Jaegersthal before entering the Magamba Nature Reserve. Take the opportunity to learn more about endemic plants of Usambara, as well as medicinal plants and their traditional uses.
Continue walking through other small villages and through native and replanted forests until you finally arrive at the Mkuzu Waterfalls.
Enjoy a wonderful break at the waterfalls and have a picnic lunch while listening to the soothing sounds of nature.
Return to Lushoto Town. Public or private transport can be arranged.
