Venture on a hiking trip to the Usambara Mountains from Lushoto town. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the mountains, natural rain forests, and surrounding villages, and engage with locals to experience the Tanzanian lifestyle up close. From the itinerary

Day by day
After breakfast, start walking from Lushoto town, passing small natural rain forests, villages, fields, and farmlands.
You will have many chances to talk to local people on the way to Lukozi/Malindi village.
Stay in a comfortable local guesthouse, or at Bush Baby Homestay on the other side of Malindi.
Depart Malindi and continue your trip to Rangwi, a farmers' village with nice hills, landscapes, and peaks nearby.
For your overnight stay, you will be warmly welcomed by the Rangwi Sisters in their convent. You will also get a chance to chat with local people as you go for an evening walk after tea or coffee.
Reach Mtae, where the Usambara Mountains come to an end, surrounded by wonderful views and scenery. On a clear day, Kilimanjaro, Mkomazi National Park, and the Tsavo West Hills in Kenya can be seen. Enjoy the widest view in Mtae.
Overnight in Mtae.
Catch the public bus back to Lushoto. Private transport can also be organized.
