Major highlights of Yangon
Start at 9:00 am, with a visit to Kabar Aye Pagoda.
Stop at Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda which is famous for the magnificent Reclining Buddha. Witness the 66 meters (217 ft.) long Buddha statue, housed in one of the largest Pagodas in Myanmar.
Next visit the photo stop at the Karaweik Hall on Kandawgyi (Royal) Lake. Karaweik Hall is a well-known landmark in Yangon featuring a huge barge designed in the likeness of a golden mythical bird.
Explore Sule Pagoda, located in the centre of Yangon.
Arrive to the Bogyoke (Scott's) Market (closed on Mondays and public holidays) and explore loads of local food, clothes, handicrafts and gems stores. This is the best area chill around for the best shopping experiences in Yangon.
After the visit, proceed to Yangon’s oldest Chinese temple and continue to the Botahtaung Pagoda, on the riverside.
Witness the 8 meters high Golden Lion Throne as well as the Mandalay Royal Regalia at the National Museum (closed on Mondays and public holidays).
Finally visit, one of the world’s most recognized national landmark, the Shwedagon Pagoda which is 326-feet-tall (99 m.), located on the Singuttara Hill, to the west of Kandawgyi Lake, and dominates the Yangon skyline.
