Pre-Trip Checklist: What Guests Need to Know
1. Age Restrictions & ID
18+ Only for Tasting: By Azerbaijani law, alcohol consumption and tasting are strictly for guests 18 years and older. Guests should bring a physical ID or a photo of their passport on their phone, just in case the winery asks for verification.
2. Dress Code (From Sporty to Classy)
Morning (Mountains & Lake): Wear comfortable sporty clothes and sneakers with good grip. You will be walking on dirt paths around Lake Nohur and boarding cable cars at Tufandag. No high heels or flip-flops.
Afternoon (Winery): The winery is a premium, aesthetic location. If you want to look classy in your wine-tasting photos, bring a change of clothes or wear something "smart-casual" that works for both the mountains and a vineyard.
Layers: Bring a light jacket or hoodie. It can get windy and significantly cooler at the top of the Tufandag cable cars.
3. Sun Protection in the Vineyards
The vineyards are wide-open spaces with absolutely no shade. The mountain sun is incredibly intense. Guests must bring sunglasses, a hat, and apply sunscreen (SPF 30+) to avoid getting sunburned while looking at the grape fields.
