Day 01

Arrival in Maun and First Game Drive to Savute Safari Lodge

Your assigned professional safari guide will meet you directly at the aircraft side as you disembark.
Camp staff will manage all luggage from the tarmac straight to your private chalet.
The 25-minute drive to camp serves as your very first official game drive. The vehicles are completely open, so keep your camera ready for wildlife sightings right away.
Upon arrival at the lodge, you will be welcomed by the management team with refreshing cold towels and a welcome drink before your safety briefing.

Day 02

Morning and Afternoon Safari Activities with Lodge Leisure

05:30 / 05:00 - Early morning wake-up call.
06:00 / 05:30 - Light continental breakfast served in the dining area.
06:30 / 06:00 - Leave for the morning activity, approximately 3-4 hours.
11:30 / 11:00 - Brunch is served in the dining area.
Siesta time - Relax and enjoy the lodge facilities and surroundings.
15:00 / 15:30 - Afternoon tea is served on the open-air patio.
15:30 / 16:00 - Depart for the afternoon activity, approximately 3 hours.

Day 03

Departure from Savute to Maun

Most flights depart Khwai between 11:00 AM and 01:00 PM and arrive in Maun within 30 minutes. This schedule provides ample time to connect with afternoon regional commercial flights to Johannesburg or Cape Town.

What to bring

Weight limit: a strict 20 kg (44 lbs) maximum per person is enforced [local], including all checked luggage and hand camera gear.
No camouflage clothing: it is illegal for civilians to wear military-style camouflage patterns or clothing in Botswana.
