Day 01

Arrival in Maun and Night Safari in Khwai

Arrive by bush plane, settle into your luxury tent, and head out on a late afternoon game drive that seamlessly transitions into a night drive using spotlights to find nocturnal predators.

The Khwai Concession is a meeting point of iconic ecosystems and is home to some of Botswana's most coveted attractions. This area is a vital ecological hub and an extraordinary wildlife corridor. Day 02

Khwai River Game Drive and Mokoro Excursion

Early morning game drive along the Khwai River, followed by an afternoon rest overlooking the floodplains, and a tranquil afternoon mokoro excursion (dugout canoe) as the sun sets.

Enjoy guided mokoro excursions in traditional dugout canoes through the shallower channels and floodplains of the Khwai River, dependent on seasonal water levels.

Day 03

Moremi Safari or Photographic Workshop

Set out on a full-day safari excursion into the pristine Moremi Game Reserve with a picnic lunch, or choose a specialized photographic workshop from the lodge's viewing decks.

Later, enjoy a final morning game drive or a local community visit before your light aircraft transfer to your next destination.

Day 04

Final Morning Bush Walk or Game Drive

Morning: Enjoy a shorter, final morning game drive or a guided bush walk along the riverbanks to learn about tracking footprints, insects, and indigenous plant life.
Midday: Savor a final breakfast on the main deck, pack your bags, and take a short transfer back to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to your next destination.

Rates: Fully inclusive of all meals, scheduled safari activities, local drinks (including alcoholic drinks, excluding premium brands), and park entrance fees.

What to bring

Neutral colors: Pack khaki, olive green, beige, or brown. Avoid bright colors, white (gets dirty fast), blue and black (which attract biting tsetse flies), and camouflage patterns (illegal for civilians in Botswana).
Layers for temperature drops: Morning game drives in open vehicles are freezing, while afternoons are hot. Pack a heavy fleece or windproof jacket, a warm beanie, gloves, and a scarf.
Sturdy shoes: Closed-toe trail running shoes or lightweight hiking boots for bush walks, plus sandals or flip-flops to wear around the lodge.
Sun protection: A wide-brimmed sun hat, sunglasses, and lightweight, long-sleeved UV shirts.
Camera and lenses: Khwai is highly photographic. Bring a zoom lens (minimum 300mm for wildlife and a wider lens for landscapes) and extra memory cards.
Binoculars: Essential for spotting leopards in trees and birdwatching along the Khwai River (aim for 8x42 or 10x42 magnification).
Power and charging: Bring power banks to charge gear on the move. The lodge uses British Type G and South African Type M three-prong plugs.
Headlamp or flashlight: For moving along the raised boardwalks at night.

Please note: Drone use is strictly prohibited due to government regulations.

Access to Sediba Sa Rona: Sediba Sa Rona is accessed by light aircraft transfer. Access by 4WD vehicle is also suitable. The airstrip is conveniently located just a five-minute drive from the lodge.

Flights: Flights to and from Sediba Sa Rona are scheduled based on the travellers' itinerary.
